Built on People, Not Just Projects

At Calico Construction, we believe the quality of our work starts with the quality of our team. Since 1994, the Cabana family has built this company with a simple philosophy: hire good people, train them well, treat them right, and the results speak for themselves.

We're not a revolving door. Many of our team members have been with us for over a decade because we invest in long-term relationships, competitive pay, and a culture where every person on the jobsite matters. When you work at Calico, you're not a number on a headcount sheet. You're part of a crew that takes pride in delivering work that stands the test of time.

What Sets Us Apart

01

In-House Trades Team

Unlike firms that subcontract everything, we employ our own carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians. You'll work alongside skilled professionals every day, not wait on outside crews. This means faster learning, tighter quality control, and real camaraderie on the jobsite.

02

Real Mentorship

Our senior tradespeople don't just supervise. They teach. Whether you're an apprentice learning to read blueprints or a journeyman refining your finish carpentry, you'll have experienced mentors who are invested in your success. We believe the best way to build a great company is to build great craftspeople.

03

Consistent, Quality Work

We've built a reputation across the DC metro area that keeps our project pipeline full. From high-end restaurant buildouts to luxury residential renovations, you'll work on projects that challenge your skills and showcase your talent. No two jobs are the same.
